The Meaning Of Kurama to Naruto

 Since Uzumaki Naruto defeated his former mentor and leader Uchiha Sasuke during the Fourth Shinobi World War, the Leaf has been in a period of recovery. With many ninja still recovering from their injuries it's going to be a while before Konoha can get back on its feet. This also applies to Uzumaki Naruto, who was forced to release Kurama from within him after facing Madara once again in battle.

Due to Kurama being free from Naruto's body for the first time since he took possession of it years ago, both have been undergoing intense rehabilitation training with Jiraiya so they can learn how to coexist together without the risk of fighting each other for dominance ever again. So far everything has been going well, but there are still fears among some of the higher ups in Konoha that Naruto's inexperience with his tailed beast might make him reckless during battle, or worse.

"We all know what happened last time he fought an enemy who could transform into a tailed beast like Kyuubi can." said one anonymous shinobi "I'm not saying he can't handle it if something like that happens again, but I am worried about what kind of damage he would be able to do without Kurama inside him."

The truth is Naruto has already faced plenty of similar situations before and overcome them with enough time to spare. It was only because Madara had Hashirama's power behind his control over Kurama that nearly killed both Naruto and the beast before sealing him away. Even with Hashirama's power behind it before his death, Naruto was able to hold his own in battle against the Ten Tails long enough for Sasuke to seal it away.

"Kurama has helped me a lot ever since I first started learning how to control its chakra. All the training Jiraiya-sensei and I have been doing together might not be enough, but it will definitely help out if anything like that happens again." said Naruto when asked about these concerns "Kurama is a tough one. Even without me helping him he can pretty much take care of himself while we're fighting together."

Even though everything seems to be going fine between both Naruto and Kurama, not everything is sunshine and rainbows for the two. The problems they face during their cohabitation are rather common between all jinchuuriki who share their bijuu with others.

"I know what it's like to be in his situation." said Killer Bee when asked about this "Sharing power is never easy because everyone wants it for themselves. Especially if you're the only one strong enough to hold onto it."

He has a point there considering Kurama was once passed back and forth between Uchiha brothers Madara and Izuna before ending up in Uchiha Obito's possession when he defected from Konoha after Rin Nohara died protecting him during a mission gone wrong. After that incident, Obito kept Kurama for himself until he was finally killed at the end of Fourth Shinobi World War.

"I'm not in a rush to train with him right now." said Naruto when asked about his future plans with Kurama "Right now Jiraiya-sensei and I are going over everything we've learned from our training up until now so we can try and get a better idea of what to do next."

Even if the world isn't in imminent danger of being destroyed, Ten Tails has been sealed away so there's no need for Naruto to rush off into battle again anytime soon. It will still take months before he would be able to team up with Killer Bee or even Sasuke if it ever happened again, so the only thing on Naruto's mind right now is just getting stronger without his tailed beast.

"I already know I won't be able to go back to being a regular genin now that this war has ended." said Naruto as he looked down at his broken ninja tool pouch "In case you haven't noticed, all of my tools are ruined because of how much chakra Kurama uses when we combine our attacks together."

The difference between how much chakra Naruto and Kurama both have is staggering, which makes it very clear why not even a simple storage scroll can handle their power. However Naruto's mention of combining their attacks together reminded everyone in the room about something they never thought would come up during a rehabilitation session for a jinchuuriki.

"He's been talking about that ability from the very beginning I can't believe we forgot to ask about him using it." said one of Naruto's former classmates "What exactly is the extent of your full-tailed beast transformation, Naruto?"

The question about his full-tailed beast transformation had everyone thinking for a brief moment before Naruto finally replied with a look on his face that showed he was both excited and confused at the same time. It wasn't anyone or anything in particular so much as it was just a simple look of curiosity towards what he truly looked like when he turned into a full-tailed beast after combining Kurama's chakra together with his own.

"I don't know because I've never done it before." replied Naruto when asked about how he looks like in his full-tailed beast form "I don't even know if I can, but what I do know is that Kurama has more than enough chakra to pull off something like this. He just needs me to help him focus it without losing control of any of it."

Naruto's teammates were all surprised by the revelation that he doesn't know what he looks like because they've seen what happens whenever Naruto loses all control of himself and becomes a rampaging monster. Whenever jinchuuriki lose their tailed beasts once they are freed from the enemy ninja who stole them, they typically haven't had sufficient training on how to handle their new found power.

Naruto's training with Jiraiya-sensei however has kept him from ever spiraling out of control like other jinchuuriki would do if they weren't properly trained. The only reason he ended up losing control whenever Kurama took over his mind was because their fight against Sasuke happened to be one that was split into two separate battles. Once Naruto reawakened, the second portion of the battle began and his emotions went haywire once again which forced Kurama to try and rush everything at an extremely fast rate in order to save everyone at all costs.
